At Braineer Academy, our Out-of-School Care (OOSC) program provides a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children ages 6 and up. Designed to balance structured support with free choice, we offer seamless school drop-offs and pickups, space to unwind after class, collaborative team projects, and positive leadership opportunities in a respectful community. What we offer (6+ yrs old)
> Safe school transitions, personal attention. Low child-to-staff ratios, attentive supervision, and clear school drop-off and pickup routines keep children accounted for and supported throughout each transition.
> A comfortable place to unwind. A welcoming environment gives children room to relax, reconnect with friends, and choose how to spend their time before and after school.
> A caring community, built on respect. In our mixed-age group, educators model kindness and help children include and support one another. We take a proactive approach to preventing bullying, paying attention to small concerns early so every child feels welcome and respected.
> Leadership through everyday kindness. Older children have opportunities to welcome, encourage, and help younger peers. Educators model respectful leadership and guide these interactions.
> Play that challenges growing minds. Board games, building challenges, creative arts, and hands-on projects develop planning, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
> Support for school days and school breaks. Alongside regular school drop-off and pickup, families can also access care for PD days and fall, winter, and spring breaks—helping keep care familiar and consistent when school is closed.
> Summer camp with room for adventure. Summer brings more time for community exploration, creative projects, active play, and mixed-age friendships—combining the comfort of a familiar centre with new experiences and discoveries.

A Typical Day at Braineer (6+ yrs old)
> A calm morning start. A warm welcome and supervised activities before an organised school drop-off.
> A supported return. School pickup, a welcoming check-in, handwashing, and snack.
> Time to choose and connect. Games, art, building, active play, or quiet relaxation, with educators supporting friendships and mixed-age interactions.
> A comfortable transition home. Time to gather belongings, finish activities, and reconnect with family at pickup.
